A Heartwarming Visit to Watgunge Adolescent Improvement Association (Hastings)

On a meaningful and compassionate initiative, the students of Techno India Group Public school, Ariadaha visited the Watgunge Adolescent Improvement Association (Hastings) to distribute books and stationeries to children in need. These items were generously donated by the students themselves and beautifully packed in handmade paper bags—each bag a reflection of care, creativity, and kindness.

The children were visibly delighted to receive the gifts, their smiles making the visit truly fulfilling and memorable. This small gesture not only brought joy to the recipients but also instilled a sense of social responsibility and empathy among the students.

A heartfelt thank you to our respected Principal Ma’am, Ms. Debdutta Bera Adhya, for her constant support and encouragement in making such outreach programs possible. The students were accompanied by their teachers, Mr. Shrawan Kumar Singh (Hindi Faculty), Mr. Pabitra Das (Physical Education Faculty), and Ms. Arpita Roy (lncharge of the Excursion Committee). The students learnt a valuable lesson on the joy of giving and developed a deeper understanding of the privileges they enjoy compared to those less fortunate.

Such experiences continue to remind us that kindness, no matter how small, leaves a lasting impact.

The Winter's Tale (Winter Carnival Day 2 - SEWA programme)

Students of TIGPS, Ariadaha had a heartwarming day full of fun and sharing. Students in groups visited:- Watgunge Adolescent Improvement Association, an NGO for underprivileged and special children and Satyabharati, Konnagar, an NGO dedicated in helping over a hundred orphan children and an old age home.

Our respected Principal ma'am, Ms.Debdutta Bera Adhya accompanied the students with our coordinator, Ms. Zainab Hadis and teachers Mr. Sudip Nag and Ms. Meena Roy to Watgunge Adolescent Improvement Association. Our school band Kids on the Rock rocked by singing beautiful songs. The children were overwhelmed and enjoyed very much by singing with KOTR. The children were distributed books on the eve of Christmas. The children were elated to get the books. Our Principal ma'am received a momento from Watgunge Adolescent Improvement Association and the students (Grade IX and KOTR) were given gifts.

Ms. Olly Chatterjee accompanied the students of Grade XI to Satyabharati. Books were distributed to the children and they were very excited to receive it. Students got the opportunity to spent some lovely moments with the residents of the old age home.The residents were cheery after interacting with the students, their smile was heart-touching.

The students loved this experience and learnt the joy of showing compassion.

Durga Puja Celebrations with a Difference

The festive season is upon us, and our most awaited Durga Puja has officially begun with Mahalaya. This year, our celebration is taking a different path—one that truly embodies the spirit of the festival. Durga Puja, at its core, symbolizes women empowerment, and this year we chose to celebrate it in a meaningful way.

From Techno India Group Public School, Ariadaha, we decided to spend a day with the wonderful women of Leonard Cheshire Home. These women may be differently abled, but they possess remarkable abilities and strength. Though they may not be part of the mainstream of society, they are not any less than the rest. Every woman is an epitome of beauty, strength, and resilience, and today we were privileged to witness that firsthand.

Our journey started from the school around 10 a.m., and we reached Leonard Cheshire Home by 11:45 a.m. We were warmly welcomed by the residents, and our Respected Principal Ma'am was presented with a bouquet and an uttariya. Initially, our children were a bit hesitant, but soon they got comfortable and embraced the atmosphere with open hearts.

To bring joy to everyone, Dyuti of Class VII and Debadrita of Class VIII sang "আয় তবে সহচরী" with their melodious voices, while Debadrita and Ritika of Class VII performed a graceful dance to "Aswathama Sadgamaya." Our children also came prepared with gifts; they presented clothes to the residents, and on behalf of our school, we donated essential items for their daily needs. They distributed sweets, interacted with the residents, and made meaningful connections.

The women at Leonard Cheshire Home amazed us with their talents. Some sang songs for us, and many showcased their incredible creativity and skills. It was truly an inspiring day—a celebration that reflected the essence of Durga Puja: compassion, empowerment, and beauty. This experience left us with deep gratitude and admiration for the strength of these remarkable women. A special thanks to our Respected Principal Ma'am, Arpita Ma'am, and our wonderful students for making this day memorable for everyone involved.

Let’s keep the spirit of Durga Puja alive by celebrating the power, resilience, and beauty of every woman.

Visit to G.R.l.R.R (GARDEN REACH lNSTlTUTE FOR THE REHABILITATION AND RESEARCH).

As part of a heartwarming initiative to promote social responsibility and the joy of giving, the students of Techno India Group Public School, Ariadaha visited the Garden Reach lnstitute for the Rehabilitation and Research to distribute books and stationery items. These items were generously donated by the students and were thoughtfully packed in beautifully handcrafted paper bags — each made with care and love by the students themselves. 

This noble endeavour was envisioned and personally led by our respected Principal Ma’am, Ms. Debdutta Bera Adhya, whose presence inspired and encouraged everyone involved. She was accompanied by Ms. Zainab Hadis (CBSE Coordinator) and Ms. Arpita Roy (In charge of the Excursion Committee). 

Among its many impactful initiatives, Garden Reach lnstitute for the Rehabilitation and Research extends special support to children with disabilities by facilitating the provision of artificial limbs and assistive devices. 

The visit was not only an act of charity but also a powerful lesson in empathy, humility, and human connection. It was a day of interaction, learning, and joy — as the students engaged with the young members of the association, shared stories, and understood the value of giving back to the community.

The school is proud to nurture socially aware and compassionate individuals who are learning to make a difference — one kind act at a time.
